It happens to all of us. The sting doesn't go away on its own.

Someone didn't choose you. A friend pulled away without explanation. A door closed before you had a chance.

Your child came home from school with that look, the one that breaks your heart.

Rejection takes so many forms:

  • The job that went to someone else
  • The shidduch that didn't work out
  • The social circle that never quite opened up
  • The parent or sibling whose words cut deeper than any stranger's could
  • The child who tells you nobody wanted to sit with them at lunch

And then there's the voice inside your own head.
The one that takes every slight, every snub, every missed opportunity, and uses it as evidence that

something is wrong with you.

That voice is the most damaging rejection of all.

The problem isn't that rejection hurts.

The problem is what we do with the pain.

Lingering Rejection

Unaddressed rejection doesn't disappear. It shapes how we parent. It affects how we show up in our marriages. It holds us back professionally and socially. It teaches our children, through watching us, how they will handle rejection for the rest of their lives.

Creating Patterns

Most of us were never given the tools to process rejection in a healthy way. We built walls, or we collapsed inward, or we lashed out, and we passed those patterns on without even realizing it.

It doesn't have to stay this way.
